Miranda

The Miranda, otherwise known as Echeveria Miranda, is a stunning little succulent, famed for its thick fleshy leaves which form an attractive, compact rosette pattern. They are most well-loved in their miniature form and often have a hint of colour along their tips. Their ideal home is on window sills or in conservatories. They are hardy fellows who don’t need much water but will reward a bright spot with some good growth.

More about Miranda plants

Echeveria Miranda and other members of the Echeveria family are part of a large genus of flowering plants in the family Crassulaceae, native to semi-desert areas of Central America, Mexico and northwestern South America.

The flowers of these plants are known as cymes, and arise from the succulent fleshy leaves. They are polycarpic, meaning that they may flower and set seed many times over the course of their lifetimes. Often numerous offsets are produced, and are commonly known as “hen and chicks”. How sweet!

In the wild, many species of Echeveria serve important environmental roles, such as helping butterflies. To learn more about caring for these attractive little fellows, why not read our Miranda Care Guide
