At The Little Botanical, we believe that protecting our planet is everyone’s responsibility. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we have embarked on a journey to reduce our carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices in every aspect of our business.

One of the significant steps we have taken is to reduce the peat content of our soil. We have developed a collection of foliage that is currently grow in 100% peat-free media, contributing to the fight against climate change.

We also use renewable energy sources such as woodchip furnaces and solar energy to power our operations, reducing our reliance on non-renewable energy sources and minimizing our carbon footprint.

To reduce plastic waste, we recycle it and make plant pots. Our packaging is 100% recyclable, and we use recycled materials to pack our plants. Our boxes are FSC certified, ensuring that they are sustainably sourced.

We are part of growers’ schemes and only source plants from like-minded growers who follow ethical and sustainable practices. Our accessories, including ceramics and baskets, are sourced from sustainable businesses, promoting sustainability throughout our supply chain.

We use a CO2 neutral carrier to ship our products and despatch four days a week to reduce our carbon footprint. We shred our cardboard boxes and use them to make packaging for our products, reducing waste and promoting recycling.

We strive to reduce water wastage by harvesting rainwater and recycling water from within. We grow our plants, reducing our reliance on other suppliers and ensuring that they are grown sustainably.

Our sustainability journey is ongoing, and we will continue to explore new ways of promoting sustainable practices while offering the best quality products to our customers.
