As a general rule, we would recommend choosing fairly low-maintenance plants for a workplace so that looking after them doesn’t get in the way of the day job. And sometimes, offices can be short on natural light so low-light-loving plants tend to do well in these spaces. Keep reading for our top recommendations.

Sansevierias top our list of best houseplants for an office. They look great, they’re super easy to care for and they’re brilliant air-purifiers too.

First up is the Sansevieria Snakey, a hard-leaved, tropical beauty, also known as a Snake Plant. His striking, upright leaves are beautiful to behold and he’ll purify the air too. These guys are tolerant of low light levels and only need water every few weeks, once the soil is dry to the touch. This makes them a perfect choice for a busy office.

A close relative of Snakey is our Sansevieria Spikey, who is equally as handsome and easy-going as his brother. With his tall, slim, upright leaves in deep green, he’ll bring fab texture and style to your office.
