Styling Sunshine & Blooms: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Choose the Right Vase

Jane selected a retro-style mantel vase for her arrangement, appreciating its flowing shape that complements the bouquet’s vintage aesthetic. These vases are currently on-trend and can be found online or in local vintage shops. Their elegant curves provide a graceful backdrop for any floral display.​

2. Secure the Stems

To keep the flowers in place, Jane added water to the vase and used scrunched-up chicken wire. This method is a florist’s trick to create a stable structure without the need for floral foam, making it both effective and eco-friendly.

3. Create the Focal Point

She placed the roses in the center, cutting each stem shorter to form a compact, eye-catching cluster. This arrangement draws the eye and serves as the centerpiece of the display.​

4. Add Movement and Texture

Jane then draped trailing flowers and foliage over each side of the vase, adding depth and a sense of movement to the arrangement. This technique enhances the vintage feel and brings the display to life.​
