Christmas style inspiration
Christmas cheer can’t come soon enough this year.
We definitely all need a little bit of extra sparkle this year and luckily, here at The Little Botanical, Christmas is one of our favourite times of year. We just love bringing festive greenery indoors and making our homes feel extra cosy in the run up to the big day.
Some of the team have started adding seasonal cheer to their homes with Mini Christmas Trees in children’s bedrooms. Others have dotted a few Poinsettias around the house to add some festive warmth. Lots of us have been enjoying our gorgeous gold-dipped succulents, popping them on fireplace mantelpieces, tables and shelves to add some interior style.
So let’s get started with styling inspiration tips and how to get the most out of your home and the gorgeous TLB Christmas range this year.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a Poinsettia
You really can’t beat a pop of red to give your home the Christmas treatment. Our Red Poinsettia styled in our charcoal grey stoneware pot is a new addition to the TLB Christmas range, and we just love it. Red poinsettias work well anywhere in the home, but we love seeing them on the hearth or on a Christmas table, so their velvety star-shaped leaves can be fully appreciated.
Our snowy white Poinsettias are equally stunning and just perfect if you are going for more neutral, muted colours this year. Paired with our almond stoneware pot, this Christmas houseplant is simply stunning.
If you want to enjoy both of our beautiful poinsettias this year, why not treat yourself to the Poinsettia Duo – it’s pretty stunning!
Creating a festive corner
Add something shiny or twinkly to brighten a corner and make it extra festive. We’ve got so many options in our Christmas range this year, you won’t struggle to find something for your space. String some lights round an XL Yucca if you want to quickly add some festive sparkle or add a Christmas Succulent Gang to your favourite shelf. Check out our different sizes of trees and sparkly succulents in both black and gold or green and gold pots. There’s so much to choose from, why not check out our inspiration page for ideas of how to style your home this Christmas.
We also love little extras like the advent bunting, twinkly lights on shelves and wooden stars, to add a subtle touch of Christmas style. We love the wooden stars from Design Vintage, they’re just fab!
Festive table scape
Want to create a stunning table scape? Simply add a gang of succulents in festive green and gold pots and a mini Christmas Tree. You can even add some decorations like pinecones, dried oranges and cinnamon sticks to finish the look. There are so many simple and relatively cheap ways to make every space a little bit more Christmassy. Style a drinks tray with a couple of Bunny-Ear Cactus in green and gold pots and you have instantly upgraded the look. Our Mini Cactus Christmas Bundle gives us all the festive feels.
The festive fireplace
A fireplace comes into its own at Christmas; it’s the focal point of the room. Decorate with a Trio of Ferns on the mantel piece or give it the full festive treatment with our Christmas Succulent Family . Adding a few pinecones and our gorgeous new Baby Blue Christmas Tree in our XL Belly Basket brings all the Christmas vibes to a fireplace. This “blue” needle tree is the perfect sized tree to create Christmas in a small space or an additional room. This living tree can be planted outdoors after the festivities and with the right care will live and grow for years to come.
The front door
Anyone else wreath making via zoom? Don’t forget to add a few succulents to make your wreath the funkiest wreath on the street. We ordered our wreath from the most fabulous @thefloralartisan who, instead of running many wreath making courses including ours, is now delivering a DIY Wreath Making Kit in a box. Just wow! The beauty of this kit is it looks gorgeous with all the varieties of greenery and eucalyptus. It smells amazing too. But most of all, it also gives us something to do too instead of cleaning the house on a Saturday morning!
Outdoor Christmas styling
Although we might not be planning a Christmas drinks party this year, if your COVID tier allows, you might decide to have a socially distanced outdoor gathering and enjoy some mulled wine with friends or family. This gives you the perfect opportunity to decorate your outdoor space with some twinkly lights. They have an amazing selection at Lights4Fun if you need some inspiration. We’d suggest adding a couple of fluffy throws to chairs to create a hygge space, plus a couple of our Medium Christmas trees with lights on your table to create instant festive feels. It is also cold enough to bring a Scandinavian vibe to your back garden with a fire pit, which won’t just look great but it’ll keep you warm too.
Now you’ve upgraded your space indoors and outdoors, is it time to look for some gifts for your loved ones. Head over to our Christmas Gift Finder to find the perfect present for someone special in your life – there’s something for everyone.
Plants make people happy and we’re sure the lucky recipient will love our choice of stunning greenery, shiny succulents and twinkly Christmas Trees.
We love Christmas in Team TLB and absolutely love to see how you have styled your homes at this time of year, so don’t forget to tag us in your photos on Instagram and Facebook so we can see how gorgeous your new festive greenery looks in your homes.
Merry Christmas everyone – here’s to a brighter 2021.
